New deadline to participate in Impact Club

There is time until April 23 to submit your impact project to the second edition of Impact Club, Impact Hub Ticino's program for impact entrepreneurial projects and promoted by a local network of female investors, investors and people active in philanthropy. The support of Migros Pioneer Fund and Mercator Foundation Switzerland is also confirmed for next year.

Impact Hub Ticino has decided to extend the deadline for the Impact Club open call by one week, with the goal of reaching 50 applications. "In recent weeks we have received so much interest in Impact Club and several interesting projects have already signed up," - says Catie Burlando, manager of the incubator. "We decided to extend the deadline to allow more teams to participate: we are looking for innovative projects that have just been born, but we are also open to welcome existing projects that want to rethink themselves from a sustainability perspective," Burlando continues.

"Impact Club is a path dedicated to female entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs and changemakers from our territory, and this year we would like to be able to accompany projects from those areas of Italian-speaking Switzerland that are more peripheral," says Tommaso Tabet, co-creator of the project and director of Impact Hub Ticino. So not only Ticino, but also the Italian Grisons with Calanca, Mesolcina, Bregaglia and the Poschiavo area.

And it is precisely with a view to bringing these territories closer together that the new incubation path will start on July 2 with a retreat in the Engadine, which will be attended by the teams from the first and second editions of the incubator, but also by the investors and female investors who are members of the Club, as well as interested people from the Italian Grisons. .

"In recent weeks, the number of accessions to our Club from female investors, investors and people active in philanthropy has also increased," - says Carlotta Zarattini, co-creator of the project and head of the Club. A trend that confirms the presence in Ticino of many people who care about the area and want to contribute to its growth and the success of entrepreneurial and social innovation impact realities.

"By being part of the Club," Zarattini continues, "you support the incubation of projects with a donation of 10,000 CHF, you participate in the jury that will choose the projects to be incubated, and you can make your network and expertise available."

"Together with the Club, we are facilitating investments and donations of about 400,000 CHF in three of the projects that participated in the first edition of the incubator," Zarattini continues. Indeed, the goal of Impact Club is precisely to be able to network capital and projects, facilitating investments and donations.

Confirmed again for this year is the support from the Migros Pioneering Fund and the Mercator Switzerland Foundation. "We are really happy to be able to count again on the support of two such important partners at the Swiss level, who help us not only financially but also with expertise and stimulation," - says Tommaso Tabet.

The 2023-2024 incubator of Impact Hub Ticino will last 8 months and is intended for projects (for-profit and nonprofit) impact entrepreneurial, early stage, based in Italian-speaking Switzerland.

During the course, particular attention will be given to the development of a business model that combines financial sustainability and impact, peer-to-peer learning, and also personal development and team well-being. Teams will also have access to the Impact Hub community in Switzerland, coworking spaces, and weekly and thematic events offered by Impact Hub Ticino. At the conclusion of the incubation process, projects will be ready to receive the necessary funding.

Teams entering the incubation path are required to make a symbolic contribution of 300 CHF. The incubation path has a value of 15,000 CHF. More information can be found on the Impact Club website (www.impactclub.ch).
