What is impact?
Impact is the change generated by what we do. It can be positive or negative, intentional or unintentional, and can manifest in various areas: environmental, social, and cultural.
It concerns us as individuals, our activities (both professional and personal), and the organizations and projects we are involved in. It involves the private sector—startups, businesses, corporations—as well as the public sector.
Basically, it’s everywhere.
SDG and our mission
The most well-known framework for outlining the positive impact we want to have in the world is the SDG – Sustainable Development Goals. This framework defines 17 overarching goals and 169 specific targets that most nations worldwide have committed to following as a strategy "to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all." These goals also have a cascading effect on the economic, entrepreneurial, and social fabric of our local communities.
Impact entrepreneurship
An impact-driven entrepreneurial project is an initiative designed and implemented with the goal of generating a positive and measurable change in a specific context, creating value not only economically and financially but also socially.
Impact Hub Ticino plays a key role in this mission, supporting organizations, startups, and projects in the Ticino region with dedicated resources, tools, and expertise.
This support can take place at different stages of the entrepreneurial journey, engaging founders through courses, conferences, workshops, mentorship programs, incubation pathways, and much more.
Impact Club: our incubator for impact-driven projects
We support impact-driven and social innovation projects (both for-profit and non-profit) through an incubation journey backed by a group of investors, philanthropists, and individuals active in philanthropy.
