Impact Hub Ticino launches the Lugano Chapter of Impact for Breakfast (IFB), an informal network of investors, family offices, foundations, funds, venture philanthropy and organizations with a shared interest in sustainable entrepreneurship and impact investing. The objective of the Ticino group is to raise awareness on impact issues and to connect people and organizations operating in the territory.
The first event was held in November 2021 with impact vegan investor Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni, entrepreneur, investor and consultant for companies and governments around the world. In his professional life he has worked in different sectors, from food to finance and technology. Today he is particularly involved in the field of animal rights and is active in promoting the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle globally.
IFB members seek to learn from each other and collaborate more effectively to increase their individual and joint impact. Launched in London in 2008, IFB has grown into a global network of more than 2,300 people covering 14 cities including Geneva, New York and San Francisco.
The free meetings are limited to a maximum of about 20 participants, and usually take place in the morning, from 9 to 11 a.m. A typical meeting begins with coffee and a complimentary breakfast, followed by a chat with the invited guest speaker and a broader discussion with attendees. Speakers share their experience, and tell their story without pitch or powerpoint.
Impact for Breakfast Lugano is supported by Impact Hub Ticino and Copernicus Group. To stay updated on upcoming meetings, sign up here.
