An evening dedicated to anyone who wants to learn more about the world of crowdfunding and crowdinvesting: two useful tools for generating awareness and, above all, raising funds around your entrepreneurial project.

Together with Sandro Alvarez Hummel and Esmeralda Mattei from the WeMakeIt team we will learn about the characteristics of successful crowdfunding, see the latest trends in the sector and work concretely on the design of an effective campaign.

The event will alternate between a first part of face-to-face presentation and a second, more practical, group workshop.

SANDRO ALVAREZ HUMMEL

Sandro has been in the wemakeit team since 2021. He is in charge of strategic project development and consulting for projects with a target of more than CHF 50,000. Sandro has a professional background in communication and community building, has worked for more than 15 years in start-ups and online communities and is currently writing a PhD on the functioning and collaboration of foundations in Switzerland.

ESMERALDA MATTEI

Esmeralda has been with wemakeit since 2014. A graduate in Cultural Management from SUPSI, she has a long militancy in marketing and communication for international companies to her credit. Translator of the wemakeit website into Italian, she advises Ticino and Italian-speaking entrepeneurs, because she believes viscerally in the revolutionary power of the crowd to create projects that change the world.

We have been democratising project financing in Switzerland and Austria since 2012. Since we started, our team has grown to 15 employees and we are currently the fourth largest crowdfunding platform in Europe. Meanwhile, we have always liked to do things differently. In our own way.
